New Delhi: A court here has convicted a man of raping a seven-year-old girl and seriously sexually assaulting another minor in 2017, saying the victims' testimony was "clear", "reliable" and This was confirmed by witnesses.

The court, taking into account the evidence before it, said that the prosecution has proved the charges against him beyond reasonable doubt.

It said that while the accused had committed serious sexual assault and rape on a minor, he had outraged the dignity of the other victim and committed serious sexual assault.

In its decision of 5 September, the court said that the victims' testimony was "clear, convincing, reliable, trustworthy and consistent", further corroborated by the testimony of other prosecution witnesses and the circumstances of the case.

"This court is of the considered opinion that the prosecution has proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that the accused has committed the offense under section 376 (rape) and section 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act on the (seven-year-old) victim.

"It is also proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused has committed the offense under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman) of the POCSO Act (six years' imprisonment) and section 10 (aggravated sexual assault) of the POCSO Act. Have done. -Old) Suffering M.
