Ludhiana, Punjab Roadways contractual employees went on a one-day strike on Wednesday in protest against non-payment of salaries.

Due to the strike, passengers had to face problems at many bus stands in the state.

Satnam Singh, president of Panbus Contract Workers Union of Punjab Roadways, said that the drivers and conductors have not received their salaries for the last one month.

“It has become difficult for them to run their household as they have not received their salaries till date,” he said.
