Mumbai: A 25-year-old construction worker was injured when a cooking gas cylinder exploded after a fire broke out in a hut in Santa Cruz West area here on Saturday morning, police said.
An official said that the incident took place in Ambewadi area on Golibar Road.
"A hut built for workers at a construction site caught fire. People present there started extinguishing the fire, but a cylinder suddenly exploded," he said.
He said that a construction worker suffered injuries in the accident.
Upon receiving information, a water tanker and an ambulance were sent to the spot. The officer said the injured person was taken to a nearby hospital.
