Chandigarh: Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi is leading against his BJP rival Sushil Rinku in Punjab's Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency by a comfortable margin of over one lakh votes, according to Election Commission data.

According to the data, the former Chief Minister is leading by 1,09,912 votes.

Counting of votes for 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab started at 8 am amid tight security arrangements.
