He said Chandigarh is a shining example of this because "we see that it cannot fight alone even in the city."

“To contest elections in Chandigarh it needs to rely on the shoulders of a peripheral party like AAP. This shows the declining strength of the Congress which has brought disaster to the country,” he said at a public meeting while seeking votes in favor of party candidate Sanjay Tandon from Chandigarh.

The Chief Minister said the Congress candidate, who is largely relying on the AAP, has no vision for the development of the city.

"The opposition is helpless because of PM Modi's transformative vision, which has shown a new light to the City Beautiful."

Yogi Adityanath said: “The same atmosphere is being created in the entire country, we will bring those who have brought Ram.” ,

He addressed thousands of people, including a large number of Easterners settled in Chandigarh.

Tandon said in his speech that it was the BJP government which had made arrangements for many people from Chandigarh to travel to Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla.

Addressing issues related to property transfer for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) houses and four-storey houses, he said: “I assure you that the BJ government is committed to transfer the ownership to the rightful owners. I will resolve long standing issues like Lal Dora and Chandigarh Housing Board on the lines of Delhi BJP's one time settlement pattern.

Meanwhile, Haryana Janchetna Party president Vinod Sharma joined the BJP at the rally.

Sharma's decision to join the BJP will strengthen Tandon's position, which will benefit from Sharma's considerable support base in Chandigarh and the Haryana region.
