Hyderabad: NSUI and Left-backed student unions protested at the residence of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Saturday demanding re-conduct of the medical entrance exam NEET.

National Students Union of India (NSUI) is the student wing of the Congress.

The police removed the student union workers who were raising slogans against Reddy from there.

Ruling Congress MLC in Telangana and NSUI president Balamoor Venkat demanded re-conduct of NEET and a sitting judge probe alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

He claimed that if the NEET issue is not resolved then the students' union "will not allow Kishan Reddy and MoS (Home) Minister Bandi Sanjay to move freely in Telangana".

Congress said party spokesperson Chanagni Dayakar protested at Osmania University demanding cancellation of NEET.

On June 18, NSUI and other student unions had organized a rally here against alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination.
