Bharatpur (Rajasthan) [India], Congress's Sanjana Jatav, who was declared the winner from Bharatpur Lok Sabha constituency by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramswaroop Koli, has thanked senior party leaders and the people of her constituency.

Speaking to ANI, Jatav said, "I would like to thank all the senior leaders - Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot - for giving me the opportunity. I would also like to thank the people of Bharatpur for their immense support. I give."

The 25-year-old danced and celebrated with her supporters after her victory over Ramswaroop Koli, whom she defeated by 51,983 votes in the Lok Sabha elections. A video of their celebratory dance has gone online.

Sanjana Jatav got 5,79,890 votes while Ramswaroop Koli got 5,27,907 votes.

Notably, in Rajasthan, BJP won 14 out of 25 seats, while Congress managed to secure eight seats. CPI(M), Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and Bharat Adivasi Party managed to get one seat each.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won majority in Rajasthan by securing 24 seats, while Congress, which got zero seats in 2019, managed to get 8 seats this time.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal won the Bikaner seat by a margin of 55,711 votes. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav won from Alwar by 48,282 votes. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat won the Jodhpur seat by 1,15,677 votes. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla won from Kota by 41,974 votes.

Congress candidate Murari Lal Meena won from Dausa by 2,37,340 votes, Brijendra Singh Ola from Jhunjhunu by 18,235 votes, Harish Chandra Meena from Tonk Sawai Madhopur by 64,949 votes and Umeda Ram Beniwal from Barmer by 1,18,176 votes. .

Voting for 25 seats in Rajasthan was held in the first and second phases on April 19 and 26 respectively.
