This list was given by Congress General Secretary K.C. Issued by. Venugopal also includes the name of Ashok Arora from Thanesar; Kuldeep Sharma from Ganaur; Brijendra Singh from Uchana Kalan; Paramveer Singh from Tohana; Balram Dangi from Meham; Nangal Choudhary to Manju Choudhary; Vardhan Yadav from Badshahpur and Mohit Grover from Gurugram (Gurgaon).

Mohit Grover contested the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections as an independent candidate from the Gurgaon seat, but lost. He lost the election to BJP's Sudhir Singla.

On June 19, Kiran Choudhary, a four-time MLA from Tosham assembly constituency, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with her daughter and former Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha MP Shruti Choudhary. This development was a major blow to the Congress and its election preparations for the Haryana Assembly elections.

With the fresh list released on Sunday, Congress has so far declared the names of a total of 41 candidates for the 90-member assembly elections.

On September 6, the grand old party announced 32 candidates for the election, fielding former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, state unit chief Chaudhary Udaybhan from Hodal and wrestler Vinesh Phogat.

Voting for the elections to the 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled to take place on October 5.

The last date for submitting nominations is September 12, while the scrutiny will be held on September 13. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 16 September.

Counting of ballots will take place on October 8.
