Hyderabad: The committee formed by the Congress leadership to probe the party's poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana arrived here on Wednesday.

Congress sources said the committee headed by senior party leader and former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien reached Hyderabad on Wednesday night.

The other members of the panel are Rakibul Hussain and Pargat Singh.

The Congress formed separate committees to probe the party's poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections in some states, including those ruled by it, in June.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge had formed six committees to assess the party's poor performance in some states, including Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, where the party is in power, besides Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Uttarakhand where it had recently been defeated.
