New Delhi, Congress MP Manikam Tagore on Sunday said that he has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urging him to lift the Covid restrictions imposed on journalists covering Parliament.

In a post on 'X' he shared a copy of his letter to Birla on June 27.

In a letter to Birla, he said many journalists, many of whom have been covering Parliament for more than a decade, are facing restrictions in the name of COVID-19 protocols.

"Preventing them from accessing Parliament not only hinders their professional duties but also hampers the flow of accurate information to the public.
