According to the Election Commission, Congress candidate S Supongmaren Jamir is leading over his nearest rival Chumben Murry of NDPP by over 23,500 votes in the lone Lok Sabha seat from Kohima, Nagaland.
Jamir got 2,02,415 votes, while Marri got 1,78,896 votes and independent candidate Heithung Tungo Lotha got 2,927 votes.
In the elections held on this seat on April 19, a total of 57.72 percent out of 13.25 lakh people had voted.
