Mevani alleged that the country has been looted through petrol, diesel and GST. People have understood who are the fake devotees of Lord Ram. Narendra Modi's pride will be destroyed just like Ravana's. On the issue of women's safety and employment, the government is saying that in Manipur women were stripped naked and marches were taken out, youth and farmers committed suicide.Praising Rahul Gandhi and India Block, he said, "We will take out money from the pockets of big capitalists and give it to the poor and the marginalised. Earlier, Gujarat Congress President Shakti Singh Gohil on Saturday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ) of seeking votes in the name of Lord Ram and claimed that it would be of no benefit to him as Gohil had been exposed before the public. He spoke to the media after Congress leaders organized a public rally in Valsad in support of Anantbhai Patel, the party's candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Voting will be held in this constituency on 7 May. Notably, all 26 parliamentary seats in Gujarat will go to polls in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 7.Following the nomination papers of Congress, BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed in Surat. Party candidate Nilesh Kumbhani was rejected after his three proposers claimed in an affidavit to the District Election Officer that they had not signed their nomination forms. The third phase will include constituencies of Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad. West Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Anand Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Bardoli, Navsari and Valsad.
