Hooda praised the people of the state for not falling prey to the deceptive strategies of the BJP. He highlighted the unity of all communities who voted unitedly for the Congress, effectively rejecting the BJP's ambitious slogan of crossing 400 seats.

Hooda stressed that electoral success is not achieved through mere slogans but through hard work. “The BJP's slogans are becoming weak and the public is making them aware of the ground reality,” said the opposition leader, whose party won five of the 10 parliamentary seats in Haryana.

Pointing to the significant improvement in the electoral performance of the Congress, Hooda said that the party's alliance in Haryana got the highest number of votes in the country at 47.61 percent. Congress got 45.3 percent votes in Karnataka.

He said in 2019, Congress' vote share increased significantly from 28 per cent to almost 48 per cent, while BJP saw a decline from 58 to 46 per cent. HUDA said the change indicates a strong anti-incumbency wave in Haryana, predicting a Congress victory in the upcoming assembly elections.

Hooda lamented the current situation in Haryana and compared it with the progress before 2014. He said that the state was once a leader in per capita income, investment, employment generation and development, but now tops in unemployment, crime, corruption, drugs. Addiction and misery under BJP rule.
