Tandon told the media that Tiwari's campaign smacked of false ego, through which he wanted to reflect his "position" more than address the problems of the people of Chandigarh.

Tandon said, "Throughout the campaign, Tiwari has been looking at things in Chandigarh through his colored glasses." He also said that he wants Tiwari to be more active in his campaign.

Tandon said their reliance on social media platforms like X and others reflected their "shallow understanding of ground realities".

“Today I can definitely say that Tiwari is the second Kejriwal who regrets what he said. There are many such instances when Tiwari ate his words after putting them on social media as Kejriwal has been doing,” Tandon said.

Tandon asked Tiwari to tell how many times he has visited Chandigarh in the last four decades. “I have been involved in many social activities to connect with people, be it the pandemic crisis or anything else.”

Taking a dig at Tiwari over frequently switching constituencies, Tandon asked two-time MP Tiwari, who has his voter car from Ludhiana in Punjab, whom would he vote for in Ludhiana, Congress or AAP, from where? Does he have his voter card?

In Punjab, AAP is contesting the elections alone without any alliance with the opposition India faction.

Voting will be held on the only seat of Chandigarh on June 1.
