The Constitution of India in black-and-red cover, published by the Lucknow-based Eastern Book Company (EBC), sold more than 5,000 copies during the elections and the edition is now out of print.
The publishing house says that approximately the same number of copies will be sold in the entire year in 2023.
EBC is the only publisher of coat pocket edition of the Constitution in the country.
The flexi foam leather-bound coat pocket edition of the book, approximately 20 cm in length, 10.8 cm wide and 2.1 cm thick with machine stitching, was first launched in 2009.
