CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday met Porkodi, wife of late Bahujan Samaj Party state chief K Armstrong, and assured her that the perpetrators of the crime will be brought to justice.

Stalin expressed his condolences and sympathies to Porkodi and other members of Armstrong's family and assured them that all those involved in this horrific murder would be punished according to the law.

Leader of the opposition and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss also met the family and expressed their condolences.

The state government provided full security for the burial of the BSP leader at Pothur in Tiruvallur district early Monday.

Armstrong was murdered by a gang here on July 5 and at least 11 suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
