Berhampur (Odisha), A Class 9 student at a school in Odisha's Ganjam district was allegedly stabbed by one of his classmates, leaving him critically injured.
The incident took place inside a classroom of the government-aided Raghunath High School in Ramchandrapur on Friday morning, he said.
The 14-year-old boy has been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here. An official said that his condition is said to be stable.
The police have taken the accused into custody.
Inspector in-charge (Patapur) Ajay Kumar Swain said, "We are investigating the incident and the reason will be known after a thorough investigation."
