New Delhi, Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Tuesday said the good governance reforms undertaken in the last decade will continue to increase citizen-centricity and ensure ease of life for every citizen.

Taking charge as Minister of State (MoS) for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions at his North Block office here, he said this third term of the NDA government will be a continuation of the work done in the last 10 years during the last two years. Modi is in charge of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

“The last 10 years have witnessed a series of revolutionary governance reforms under the guidance of PM Modi, fundamentally based on the spirit of ‘minimum government, maximum governance’ and increasing citizen centricity to bring ease of life for every citizen of the country. Inspired, Singh told reporters after taking charge of the ministry.

Later he said that many people-friendly steps have been taken during the last decade and these will accelerate during the current third term of the Modi government.

"The government is committed to pursuing people-friendly measures aimed at enhancing citizen-centricity and ensuring ease of living for all," he said.

The doctor-turned-politician served as a member of the Union Council of Ministers and as Minister of State, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions in the Prime Minister's Office during Modi's first and second terms as Prime Minister.

Born in Jammu, 67-year-old Singh was inducted into the Union Council of Ministers as Minister of State in the PMO in 2014, when he was a first-time Lok Sabha member from Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur constituency.
