Chandigarh, CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur has no regrets about slapping actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, her brother Sher Singh Mahiwal claimed on Tuesday.

Mahiwal, organizing secretary of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee in Kapurthala, said that his sister was angry with Kangana's previous comments on the farmers' protest.

In a video message, Mahiwal said he met Kaur and discussed the incident with her.

"He has no remorse over the incident," he said.

She said her sister was upset with Kangana's comments on the farmers' protest against the now-repealed farm laws and had slapped her when she got "agitated".

He said, if the Punjab government or the Center had taken action against the actor at that time, this incident would not have happened.

On June 6, Kangana alleged in a video message that a female CISF constable hit her in the face and misbehaved with her during the security check at Chandigarh airport.

In a statement titled "Shocking rise in terrorism and violence in Punjab", posted on Instagram after arriving in Delhi following the incident, Ranaut had said that her concern was that "terrorism and extremism are on the rise in Punjab".

Another video circulating on social media shows an agitated Kaur talking to people after the incident.

"Kangana had (earlier) given a statement that farmers were protesting in Delhi because they were paid Rs 100 or Rs 200. At that time, my mother was one of the protesters," he had said in the alleged video.

Following the incident, Mohali police had booked Kaur under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
