On receiving the information, BSF personnel reached the area and conducted a massive search operation with the help of Punjab Police. During a search operation at 7:30 pm on the same day, troops recovered 1 drone in a damaged condition along with 1 packet of suspected heroin (total weight- 21 grams). The narcotics were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a loop was formed on the packet. Officials said the recovery took place in a field near TJ Singh village in Tarn Taran district. He said prompt sharing of information by a law abiding villager and coordinated efforts of BSF and Punjab Police foiled another nefarious attempt to smuggle narcotics by an illegal Pakistani drone from across the border.
