Janjgir-Champa: Five people, including a man and his two sons, died due to suspected poisonous gas inside a well in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district on Friday. Police gave this information.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has expressed grief over this morning's incident in Kikirda village of Birra police station area.

He said that a team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been deployed to remove the body from the well.

According to Inspector General of Police (Bilaspur Range) Sanjeev Shukla, the deceased were identified as Ramchandra Jaiswal (60), Ramesh Patel (50), his two sons Rajendra Patel (20) and Jitendra Patel (25) and Tikeshwar Chandra (25). Is. Said.

According to preliminary information, Jaiswal entered the well located in the premises of his house to remove a wooden block after it fell. He said that when he became unconscious, his wife screamed for help, following which three other people from the neighboring Patel family jumped into the reservoir.

When no one came out, Chandra descended into the well, but he also fell unconscious, following which locals informed the police, the officer said.

The "ring" well appears to be deep and has water at the bottom. Another police officer said that the SDRF team is trying to take out the bodies.

Prima facie it seems that he died due to some poisonous gas inside the well. However, a forensic team has reached the spot and the exact cause of death will be known after the body is taken out of the well, he said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
