Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Thursday asked officials at the state government's 'Jan Darshan' program to investigate a farmer's complaint that money was fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account.

Om Prakash of Navagarh, Bilaspur alleged that Ramesh Sahu, computer operator of Seva Cooperative Society Sipat, had withdrawn Rs 27,000 from his cooperative bank account thrice by forging his signature.

Prakash claimed that the 'Kisan Credit Card' in his name was fraudulently obtained, adding that Sahu had obtained his passbook by luring his minor daughter.

Sai has asked Bilaspur Collector to investigate the matter and punish the culprits.

More than 1500 applications were received from citizens in the Jandarshan program. Officials said these relate to revenue, urban local bodies, health, education, construction work as well as discretionary grants.

He informed that all the applications received were registered and tokens were given to the applicants.
