Alsinho becomes the second signing of the 2024-25 season for Marina Machans after securing the services of midfielder Jitendra Singh earlier this week.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record, 33-year-old Elsinho joins Ryan Edwards to further strengthen Chennaiyin's defence.

"Alsinho is a versatile, strong and technical footballer who can fit into central midfield and center back. He gives us options at the back and also provides goalscoring threat in the opposition box. The Brazilian is a great addition to our foreign players. The addition will be incidental," Chennaiyin head coach Owen Coyle commented.

Known for his versatility and adaptability, Alsinho has demonstrated his ability to contribute in defense as well as in midfield, offering the club tactical flexibility. He was a part of the Jamshedpur FC team last season and played 25 matches for them.

“The coaches came to talk to me and showed interest in my work, I was very happy to be able to do a championship that attracted attention, and I was very happy with that, it proved to be a strong point for me to come forward For Chennaiyin,” Elsinho said.

Alsinho began his professional career with Club Esportivo Naviraense in 2014. He has played 214 matches so far in his career, scoring 15 goals and two assists. Alsinho spent most of his career at Mexican club FC Juárez, making 136 appearances for them from 2017 to 2019.
