The temple of Shri Badrinath Dham is situated amidst snow clad mountains in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Thousands of devotees gathered at the entrance of Badrinath Dham as it was decorated with flowers. Situated on the Garhwal Hills in Chamoli district, on the banks of the Alaknand River, the Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.With the discharge of religious traditions, Kuber ji, Shri Uddhav ji and Garh Ghada were brought into the temple complex from the south gate. After this, in the presence of the administration and thousands of devotees, the doors of the temple were opened with rituals by the chief priest of the temple Rawal, Dharmadhikari, Haq Haqukdhari and officials of Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished the devotees an auspicious day. In a post on Twitter, CM Dhami wrote, "Today the doors of Lord Badri Vishal have been opened with Vedic chants and complete rituals. Hearty welcome and greetings to all the devotees on the Char Dham Yatra! Jai Badri Vishal.Chief priest VC Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri performed special puja of Lord Badrinath in the sanctum sanctorum and prayed for everyone's well-being. Badrinath Yatra is an important pilgrimage in Hinduism, mainly undertaken by devotees of Lord Vishnu. The pilgrimage to Char Dham usually begins in late April or early May and continues till November. Char Dham Yatra started in Uttarakhand on 10 May. For the last two days, there is a huge crowd in all the three Dhams including Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.On the first day, a record number of over 29,000 pilgrims came from India and abroad. Visited Kedarnath Dham Welcoming the pilgrims, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presided over the inaugural puja at Shri Kedarnath Dham Temple, praying for the safe journey and spiritual satisfaction of all those visiting the Char Dham Yatra.
