Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Andhra Pradesh BJP chief D Purandeswari on Friday filed their nominations for the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively in the state.



Naidu's wife N Bhuvaneshwari filed nomination on behalf of her husband Kuppam for the assembly elections to take on YSRCP candidate KR RJ Bharat.



"Nara Bhuvaneshwari, wife of former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, filed official nomination today on behalf of TDP chief Kuppam," a TD press release said.



After filing her nomination, Bhuvaneshwari urged the public to ensure that no flag other than TDP flies in Kuppam.



Purandeshwari filed her nomination from Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha seat along with senior BJP leader VK Singh.



Purandeswari will face YSRCP's G Srinivasulu in the elections.

TDP, BJP and Janasena are part of the NDA in the southern state.

Along with the Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections will also be held in Andhra Pradesh on May 13.
