Shimla: An official at the local meteorological center said on Thursday that parts of Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive rain and snowfall on April 13, 14 and 15.

The weather office also issued an "orange" alert for storm with lightning, strong winds and hailstorm at isolated places in seven districts on April 13 and 14.

According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, 132 roads, including three national highways, are closed for traffic. Of the total, 127 roads were closed in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district.

Directo Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Surendra Paul said that there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in some parts of the state on April 13, 14 and 15.

The weather department has also predicted rainfall in the state till April 17 with possibility of heavy rain and snowfall at isolated places in Chamba, Kanga, Kull and Mandi districts on Sunday.

Light rain occurred in parts of Himachal and Bharmour received 15 mm rain in the last 24 hours, followed by 5 mm in Chaupal and Palampur, 4.5 mm in Chamba, 4 mm in Narkand and Baijnath, 3 mm in Sainj, 2.5 mm in Nadaun. , Theog and Jogindernagar received 2 meters of rain, Khadrala received 1 mm of rain while Kukumseri and Shimla received traces of rain.

There was no significant change in the minimum temperature. It was cold in Keylong at night and the temperature was recorded at 0.2 degree Celsius.
