The latest order of the Personnel Ministry said that accordingly, the amount of reimbursement of Children Education Allowance will be Rs 2,812.5 per month (fixed) and Hostel Subsidy will be Rs 8,437.5 per month (fixed), irrespective of the actual expenditure incurred by the government employees. It said reimbursement of Children's Education Allowance for disabled children of government employees will be payable at double the normal rates - Rs 5,625 per month (fixed) - irrespective of the actual expenses incurred by the government employee.
According to the order issued to all ministries of the Central Government, the rates of Special Allowance for Child Care for Women with Disabilities have been revised to Rs 3,750 per month.
"These amendments will come into effect from January 1, 2024," it said.
