New Delhi: The Center on Thursday constituted a one-member panel to probe the controversy involving probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, sources said.

He said an additional secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) will investigate the matter.

Khedkar has been accused of misusing benefits under the physical disability category and Other Backward Class (OBC) quota to secure a post in the Indian Administrative Service. He was transferred from Pune to Washim on Monday on charges of threatening and abusive behaviour.

On Thursday, he took charge as Assistant Collector in Washim District Collectorate of Vidarbha region.
