Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) [India], Intensifying its investigation into alleged irregularities in this year's National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduate Degrees or NEET-UG, a team from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday visited a school in Hazaribagh in Jharkhand and questioned the staff of the Oasis school, including the principal.

CBI released two people after questioning them in the NEET paper leak case.

These individuals are identified as the principal and staff of Hazaribagh-based Oasis School, who were interrogated at the CCL guest house in Charhi, a town in Hazaribagh district.

The Special CBI Court in Patna sent two accused in the NEET question paper leak case to be remanded by the CBI following a request by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday.

Accused Baldev Kumar Alias ​​Chintu and Mukesh Kumar have been taken into custody of CBI, which is investigating the NEET-UG question paper leak case. Currently, 18 accused have been taken into custody for questioning.

The hearing in the NEET paper leak case ended today in the court of CBI Special Judicial Magistrate Harsh Vardhan Singh.

The CBI ruled before the CBI court on the remand application for the accused.

The court sent the accused, Chintu Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, to CBI remand.

Now the CBI will remand them and conduct further interrogation.

Days after the Union Health Ministry postponed the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-PG) Postgraduate Examination 2024 scheduled for June 23, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences Chairman Abhijat Sheth on Tuesday said that the SOPs and protocols will be reviewed as soon as possible and the next date for the exam will be declared next week.

Sheth's statement came after a review meeting held between officials of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences and the Union Health Ministry to assess the situation and inputs received by the government before postponing the exam.

The government has postponed the NEET-PG 2024 exams following growing controversy over alleged "irregularities" in the NEET-UG exam held on May 5.

The Bihar government issued a notification on Monday on handing over the NEET-UG paper leak case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Notably, the Bihar government handed over the investigation into alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 exam to the CBI for thorough investigation.

After taking over the investigation into the alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility and Entrance Tests (NEET)-UG in 2024, the CBI has formed special teams to probe the case, the central agency said in a statement on Sunday.

This comes after the central government entrusted the CBI with the matter of alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam in 2024 for a thorough investigation.
