The matter came to light when the police received a complaint that children were being converted to Christianity at a coaching center run by a woman teacher.

Rashtriya Hindu Sena state chief Deepak Malviya alleged in the complaint that a religious conversion center is being run in the guise of a coaching center in Hamlapur area of Betul.

Joshi told the police that many people used to come to the coaching center and their activities seemed suspicious. Most of the people coming there were outsiders, which spread panic among the people of the area.

Acting on information, Betul district police conducted a raid on Monday and rescued at least 12 children from the coaching centre. Police claimed to have recovered literature related to Christianity.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamla Joshi said, "12 children were rescued from the coaching center during the raid. The police also recovered some literature related to Christianity...
