The launch window for the 11-minute flight of the space venture owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos opens at 6.30 am (7 pm IST).

"We are moving forward for launch on Sunday, May 19. The #NS25 launch window is open from Launch Site One in West Texas," the company posted on the X social media platform.

The reusable New Shepard rocket is set to carry a six-person crew above the Karman Line, the internationally recognized boundary of space that lies 100 km above the Earth's surface.

It's been more than two years since Blue Origin's last crewed flight.

The six passengers were 90-year-old Ed Dwight, Mason Angel, Sylvain Chiron, Kenneth L. Hayes, Carroll Schaller and Thotakura.

With this mission, Thotakura will become the second Indian to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma's journey on the Russian Soyuz T-11 in 1984.

After Sharma, three people of Indian origin have reached space
(1997), Sunita Williams (2006), and Raja Chari (2021) as NASA astronauts.

Blue Origin's NS-25 mission is set to launch from Launch Site One in West Texas, USA.

The company has launched six manned flight missions so far, and launched 3 people on the Karman Line.
