A school bus driver died after falling from the roof of a private school in Sector 48, Gurugram, just two days after joining the job, the incident is being investigated by the police.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night when Sandeep Kumar (32) and another driver had gone to the fourth floor of the building to sleep. This incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed nearby.

Sadar police station in-charge Arjun Dhundhara said that prima facie it appeared that Kumar fell from the roof due to inadequate support at the edge of the roof. However, further investigation is underway.

According to police, Kumar joined the school as a bus driver on Sunday.

He had come to Gurugram from Rajasthan in search of a job. Kumar's uncle Rajaram asked why he would commit suicide after getting a job.

Another bus driver, Suresh Kumar, who was also Kumar's roommate, said they slept after having dinner at night. Late in the night the school guard came to know about the incident and the police was informed.

The station in-charge said that the body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.

Despite several efforts, school chairman Satbir Yadav could not be contacted and the school administration has denied any such incident taking place in the school premises.
