Pune/Mumbai: A private bus carrying 35 passengers burst into flames after a tire burst on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Saturday, leaving no one injured, officials said.

He said that the incident took place at around 7 am in the morning in Adha village of Maval taluka of Pun district.

A fire official said, "The bus was heading towards Pune on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. When I reached half the village of Maval, a tire of the bus burst and it caught fire."

He said that all 35 passengers and the bus driver were taken out safely from the bus in time and no one was injured.

A large part of the bus was burnt to ashes in the fire. On receiving the information, FIR Brigade personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control. IRB patrolling, Delta Force teams along with Vadgaon traffic police department brought the fire under control.
