Acting on credible inputs, a special joint search operation was launched by BSF troops of 31 Bn along with Assam Police at border village - Kedar Part-III in Dhubri district of Assam and the alert troops recovered fake Indian currency notes of face value. In other operations, acting on credible intelligence, alert BSF troops of 19,14, 49 and Adhoc G-10 Bn seized contraband items worth Rs 4.35 lakh and were being smuggled into Bangladesh from the border area of District Cooch Behar.
