Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) [India], Border Security Force (BSF) in collaboration with SBI Bank organized “Grow with Trees” tree plantation drive at BSF Headquarters in Srinagar on Saturday.

With the aim of creating a green environment and promoting the importance of tree plantation, BSF officers and jawans as well as SBI Bank officials and school children from Kendriya Vidyalaya at BSF Headquarters participated in this campaign.

It is hoped that this initiative will not only help in creating a more sustainable environment but will also enhance the sense of community and teamwork among the participants.

Speaking to ANI, Commanding Officer Rajeev Burduwaj said, "The purpose of the plantation is to make the campus green and reduce the impact caused by global warming on the planet. Our forces play a vital role in doing this; Our premises are in Rajasthan." And other dry areas are also surrounded with greenery because of such campaigns... We have seen that this time the temperature has become very high and everyone has been requested to plant a tree... If everyone in the country If we plant one tree, there will be 140 crore trees, which will help in curbing the rising temperature."

"Global warming has been a huge problem, and we can make such small efforts to stop it. State Bank of India is the largest bank in the country, and it has always served the country. Due to this, it has also become Also our moral responsibility towards the environment... All over India, we are running such campaigns and we are planting trees wherever possible,” said Nishan Singhi, SBI branch manager.

The tree planting campaign was successful, many trees were planted in the area and a promise was made to continue the efforts to maintain a green and healthy environment in the area.
