On request for supporting documents, the passenger failed to provide any valid documents and gave inconsistent statements, further raising suspicion.

The woman was immediately caught and brought to Ghojadanga police station for further questioning.

During interrogation, she revealed that she had made several trips to Bangladesh to meet her younger sister Sajida Khatun, who lived in Kushkhali, Satkhira, Bangladesh. On this occasion, she was carrying a substantial amount of illegal currency along with gold jewelery (a bracelet weighing 15.040 grams and a gold ring) but was caught by the BSF at the border.

The apprehended passenger and the seized currency have been handed over to the Customs Department at Ghojadanga for further legal action.AK Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier, said that BSF is committed to its mission of securing the country's borders and preventing illegal cross-border activities.

The force is increasing its surveillance and strengthening security measures to effectively deal with such nefarious activities.
