Berhampur (Odisha) A 30-year-old man was beaten to death by his brother-in-law in Odisha's Ganjam district. The police gave this information on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as B. of Manikapur village of Golanthara police station area. Performed as Narasinghlu. Police said that Chati's accused D. Chelapati (40) fled from the spot and is absconding.
Inspector Bibekanand Swain, in-charge of Golanthara police station, said the deceased had gone to his brother-in-law's house on Monday to resolve a dispute between Chelapati and his wife. Chelapati, who has been married for almost seven years, is allegedly physically abusing his wife, he said.
After a heated argument between Narasinghalu and Chellapati, the accused attacked Narasinghalu on the head with an iron rod. Narsinghlu was taken to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Swain said, the search is on to catch the attacker.
