New Delhi: Police on Saturday found an injured woman along with the bodies of her two children in their rented house in East Delhi, while her husband was found dead on the railway track nearby.

According to the police, they received information from a person around 2 pm that his elder brother Shyamji Chaurasia (42), resident of Shashi Garden, Panda Nagar, was missing, although the house was closed since Friday.

A police team immediately reached the house and found it locked from outside while a foul smell was coming from inside.

They broke the lock and found siblings Karthik (15) and Aastha (9) dead, while their mother Shanno (40) was lying unconscious in a room, a police officer said.

He told that the woman has several injuries and is undergoing treatment.

Another police officer said it is suspected that Shyamji, who runs a tea stall in Mayur Vihar, strangulated his children to death, attacked his wife and then ran away.

When the police were investigating the case, they received information that Shyamji's body was found on the railway track near his house.

Shyamji's younger brother told the police that he had gone to Frida's house in the evening but it was locked from outside.

On Saturday morning, he went home again and found that it was still locked and his brother's phone could not be found. Officials said that when foul smell started coming from the house in the afternoon, they informed the police.

Police suspect that Shyamji ended his life on the railway track after attacking his wife and children. The police officer said that further investigation into the matter is underway.
