Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], Brazilian Ambassador to India Kenneth H Mate de Nobrega on Tuesday met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and expressed interest in furthering cooperation with Gujarat in automotive, energy, agriculture sectors.

Gujarat Chief Minister Patel emphasized that Brazilian industrialists can consider investing in Gujarat's auto parts sector. According to an official release, "During this courtesy call, the Brazilian Ambassador expressed his interest in furthering cooperation with Gujarat in the automotive, energy and agriculture sectors."

"During the conversation, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel mentioned that considering Gujarat's reputation as an automotive hub, Brazilian industrialists may consider investing in Gujarat's auto parts sector," it said. Furthermore, during the discussion, the Brazilian envoy noted that Brazil's expertise in biofuels technology and the biogas sector requires suitable partners, adding to his eagerness to pursue cooperation in these areas. In the pharmaceutical sector, companies from India and Gujarat are also active in the IT and energy sectors of Brazil," the release said. K Kailashnathan, Principal Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, SJ Haider, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, Trade Secretary of the Brazilian Embassy in New Delhi And Wagner Silva Antunes, First Secretary of the Investment Promotion Sector, was also present during the courtesy meeting.
