Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Sunil Jakhar will hold a series of meetings at the state headquarters in Sector 37-A, Chandigarh on Saturday to review the performance and formulate strategy for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. And will discuss the upcoming by-elections, said BJP Punjab General Secretary Rakesh Rathod.

Jakhar will chair the day-long meetings, which will be attended by prominent leaders, including former Gujarat CM and Punjab BJP in-charge Vijay Rupani; Narinder Singh Raina, co-in-charge of BJP Punjab; and Manthri Srinivasulu, state general secretary of the organization.

The leaders will discuss key agendas including by-elections, upcoming local body elections and public programs to ensure a comprehensive approach to election strategy. The meeting also aims to ensure strong preparation and coordination among party members.

On June 15, the first meeting will be held with the Lok Sabha candidates at 11 am, followed by a meeting with the district presidents at 12:30 pm. The joint meeting of the state core group, Lok Sabha in-charge and co-in-charge, Lok Sabha convenor and co-convenor will start at 3 pm and the meeting of the state core group will be held at 5 pm only. Rathore concluded.

Congress leader Manish Tewari won against Sanjay Tandon in Chandigarh by 2,504 votes. Tiwari got 2,16,657 votes, while Tandon got 2,14,153 votes.

The BJP-led NDA won 294 seats and the India Bloc got 234 seats in the declaration of the results of the 18th Lok Sabha elections in the 543-member Parliament.
