Varanasi (UP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)'s "Parisar Chalo Rath" ended at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on Saturday.

'Rath' is part of ABVP's "Parisar Chalo Campaign".

ABVP official Abhinav Mishra said, "As part of 'Parisar Chalo Yatra', Rath Yatra was taken out from Duddhi and Amethi in Sonbhadra. From Duddhi, the chariot reached BHU via Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Varanasi district, Ghazipur, Chandauli." And Varanasi metropolis.

Abhinav Mishra said, "Meanwhile, the chariot from Amethi passed through Kushbhawanpur, Machhilishahr, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayag district and Prayag Mahanagar and ended at Allahabad University."

Speaking at the valedictory function at BHU, chief guest Virendra, RSS regional karyavaha for eastern Uttar Pradesh, talked about the decline in student attendance post COVID-19 and the importance of campus culture for overall development. Insisted.

He called on teachers to create a positive environment that would attract students back to campuses.

"Campuses are the biggest centers of social harmony and it is necessary to revive them," he said.

Elaborating on the "Campus Chalo Abhiyaan", ABVP state organizing secretary Abhilash Mishra said that "it is a mass movement aimed at empowering the campuses."

"The campaign, to be run in two phases throughout the year, targets students in 10+2 and university campuses. The first phase focuses on rekindling students' interest in campus life, while the second phase will transform campuses into vibrant hubs. This includes involving all education sector stakeholders in creating employment generation, providing facilities like canteens, sports grounds and student welfare centres."
