New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to answer on the key issues his government should have focused on in Bihar, and said the BJP had "excelled" in clawing its way to power. But its governance has left much to be desired.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh asked the Prime Minister questions on Bihar before his rally in Nawada.

Rames said, "Today, the Prime Minister is going to Nawada in Bihar - the state where BJ worked to topple his latest government. Though he has excelled in clawing his way to power, there has been a lot of trouble under BJP rule. There is some left."

He expressed hope that the Prime Minister could answer three questions about the issues on which his government should have focused.

When the PM visited Nawada before the 2014 elections, he raised the issue of Warisaliganj sugar mill and asked why it remained closed for so many years."This raised the hopes of thousands of local people, as in its heyday, the mill directly employed 1,200 workers and besides supported hundreds of sugarcane farmers. Giriraj Singh (2014) and Chandan Singh, both BJP MPs from Nawada. (2019) also promised to start a Chinese meet during his tenure, ten years later, all those promises have proved to be hollow,” he said.

Ramesh asked, when the Prime Minister comes to Nawada this time, he should answer the people as to why Warisaliganj sugar mill is closed for the last ten years.

He alleged, "They may have changed the name of Race Course Road, but the BJP continues to indulge in horse-trading. Given the BJP's lack of respect for the democratic values enshrined in our Constitution, any government We are not safe from their political manipulation."

The Congress leader alleged that the BJP does not hesitate to topple the government or use its "ill-gotten electoral bond donations to buy and sell MLAs" to cling to power, "as was evident when Nitish Kumar turned again.earlier this year".

He asked, "We now know that the electoral bond scam caused a loss of Rs 4 lakh crore to Indian citizens – the question is how much did the change of government in Bihar cost the people of India?" he asked.

Ramesh claimed that the condition of public education in Bihar has gone from bad to worse in recent years.

He claimed that thousands of teachers and retired college employees are angry over non-payment of their dues.

“Due to delay in appointment of teachers the number of active teachers has fallen to 35%, much less than the sanctioned strength. Recently, guest teachers in Patna took to the streets to protest against their sudden dismissal, and instead of listening to their concerns, The BJP government got them lathi-charged,” H said.As KB Sinha, working president of the Federation of University Teachers Association of Bihar (FTAB), said, "The problems of universities have increased due to the arbitrary actions of the education department on the eve of important festivals like Holi and Eid." Salaries and pensions remain withheld for three months and no one is worried. Does the Prime Minister have anything to say on the pathetic state of education in Bihar?" Ramesh said.

He asked what the BJP government is doing to secure the livelihood of the teachers of Bihar?

Ramesh urged Prime Minister Modi to break his silence on these issues.
