Guwahati (Assam) [India], Union Minister Pabitra Margherita on Sunday said that the people of Jharkhand support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and expressed optimism that the BJP will emerge victorious in the tribal state in the coming assembly elections.

This comes after former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on June 29 criticized the BJP for allegedly hatching a conspiracy against him and claimed that the saffron party will be eliminated from the state after the upcoming assembly elections.

The JMM leader alleged that the BJP has controlled all the constitutional establishments, but the people taught them a lesson in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

"It has come to my notice that they are making plans to bring forward the assembly elections. I challenge them to hold the elections on any day they wish. BJP's dream of winning the assembly elections in Jharkhand will be 'Mungerilal ke Haseen Sapne' .The BJP is appointing tribals as CMs in several states, but they are just rubber stamps,” Hemant Soren said.

Reacting to former Jharkhand CM Soren's comment on 'Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne', Pabitra Margherita said, "He (Hemant Soren) has every right to speak in any way, but the thing is, just like the state neighbor of Odisha, People of Jharkhand will also support the BJP in Jharkhand for a Viksit Bharat.”

"I believe that the people of Jharkhand will support the BJP and Prime Minister Modi's Viksit Bharat ideology. We believe that the dream will come true. Whatever Mungeri Lal or someone else, the dream will come true. The people of Jharkhand are with the BJP and will continue to be in the BJP," said Pabitra Margherita.

He added, "Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is also one of the coordinators of this electoral engineering in Jharkhand and as far as I understand, the people of Jharkhand are with the BJP. I am sure that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and From Gujarat to the North East, everyone is with the NDA and this time the people of Jharkhand will give their blessings to the BJP, we are very optimistic and confident.”

Talking about the recent meeting with Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, the Ministry of External Affairs said that it was just a courtesy meeting.

He is a respectful leader of the Northeast and there was no official discussion or any given issue was officially discussed. We love him because he is one of the stalwart leaders of the Northeast." Meanwhile, JMM leader Soren was released on June 28 from Birsa Munda jail after the state high court granted him bail in a money laundering case, observing that he was prima facie not guilty. and that there was no likelihood that the petitioner would commit a crime. released on bail.

Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with its investigation into a land scam case.
