New Delhi: After the swearing-in ceremony of the third Council of Ministers of the Modi government, now all eyes are on who will be the next president of BJP as the outgoing party president J.P. Nadda has been included in the cabinet.

Apart from Nadda, several other senior leaders including Bhupendra Yadav, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Dharmendra Pradhan have also been sworn in as cabinet ministers, paving the way for a new face to lead the BJP.

Some former ministers who were not included in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new council of ministers are also expected to be groomed for roles in the party.

Nadda took over as party president in January 2020, replacing Amit Shah, while other ministers who have led the party in the past include Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh.

Nadda's extended tenure as BJP chief was to end this month.
