Ramgarh (Jharkhand), Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said the BJP has pledged to ensure good governance in Jharkhand by ousting the "corrupt" JMM-led government in the upcoming assembly elections.

BJP's Jharkhand in-charge Chauhan was addressing party workers in Ramgarh district.

"The coalition government will ruin Jharkhand. Farmers are in crisis because they don't have electricity, youth are in crisis because there are no jobs. The entire state is in crisis because of large-scale looting of sand, mines, minerals and resources."

He said, "BJP has resolved to provide good governance in the state by uprooting the present corrupt government."

Targeting Shibu Soren's family, he said that Champai Soren was removed from the post of Chief Minister without any mistake.

"Nobody outside Soren's family could become the chief minister of the state. The removal of Champai Soren is a glaring example of dynastic politics and power hunger," he said.

In response to a question, he said that BJP's alliance with AJSU party will continue in the upcoming assembly elections.

The BJP fought the recently concluded parliamentary elections in Jharkhand in alliance with the AJSU party.

Elections for the 81-member assembly are to be held in the state later this year.
