Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took a veiled dig at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti over her alliance with the BJP in 2015. He also accused the BJP of "spreading hatred" against Muslims. "Create enmity between different communities" and create "tension". Taking a dig at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Omar said, "BJP and PDP had formed an alliance in 2015 to form the government in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir." Later, the BJP walked out of the alliance, Omar said in Srinagar. Addressing an election rally at Batwara Public Park, seeking votes for NC candidate Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi.He said, "That BJP, which has no place for Muslims and is working to spread hatred against this community." He said, "Elections will end on June 3. And how will the country run for the next five years? Sometimes they talk about mangalsutra, land. Their aim is to create differences.'' He also attacked the Center over its claims of development in the Union Territory, ''They are claiming that people have seen development with the abrogation of Article 370.Why are you rubbing salt on our wounds?" He also mentioned a recent accident in which school children lost their lives, "Innocent school children have died in a recent accident at this place. Some bodies have not been recovered. And why? Because that bridge was not built for them which was approved when our government was in power. What will you talk about? About industries. You will only talk about this bridge." Seats In 2019, voting was held for six seats in the Lok Sabha in Jammu and Kashmir, however, after the abrogation of Article 370, which resulted in the bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Gaya, no longer a separate Lok Sabha constituency, won three seats while the National Conference, despite being allies in the opposition alliance India Bloc, decided to go. The general elections in Jammu and Kashmir are being held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. The first phase of voting was held on April 19 and the second phase on April 26.The next round of voting will take place on May 7. Counting of votes and results will be declared on June 4.
