Moradabad (UP), Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday claimed that the BJP has given 'cross 400' slogan for the Lok Sabha elections because they want to "change" the country's Constitution and "take away" the right to vote. want. from people.

Addressing an election rally here in support of SP candidate Ruchi Veera from Moradabad, Yadav said, “If the government works as per the Constitution, there can be bias against any community or group. But ever since BJP came to power, the government has not done justice to the people.”

Recalling the farmers' protest against the now-repealed farm laws, Yadav said, "The government has withdrawn the farm laws. But the way BJP leaders are using the '400 crossed' slogan... If they come to power, this will happen." "It's possible that they will change the Constitution, they may even take away our right to vote."

The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also attacked the BJP-led central government over demonetization and electoral bonds.

SP candidate Veera also alleged that BJP wants to change the Constitution. "This time's election is to protect democracy."

Saying that he was born and brought up in Moradabad, Veera sought votes from people from all sections of the society and all communities.

She said, "I am grateful to my Muslim brothers and sisters who have given me so much respect and trust that I, along with Hindu brothers and sisters, will ensure the victory of SP. We will defeat BJP."

Voting will be held in Moradabad on April 19 in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections.
