Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], after Shiromani Akal Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal alleged that some of the "BJP stooges were trying to destabilize the party, Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sunil Jakhar said the BJP should not blame internal dissent within the SAD. Jakhar attributed the agitation to the SAD's electoral setbacks in Punjab, stating that many leaders perceive a bleak future under the leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Jakhar said, "This is the result of the Lok Sabha elections. All kinds of allegations are being made without taking responsibility and without assessing their shortcomings."

"Some SAD leaders blame the BJP. The people who have called for the resignation of the party chief are politicians who do not see the future of the party under the leadership of Sukhbir Badal. As the SAD could not win in the Lok Sabha polls," The BJP should not be blamed. Sukhbir Badal and his leaders today have a chance to show his leadership and take everyone along," he said. "It is unfortunate that some Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stooges tried to overthrow the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) but failed. . It is encouraging that the entire rank and file of the party, including 112 of the 117 constituency office-bearers and all the district presidents, have expressed full confidence in the leadership of S Sukhbir Singh Badal. Only five leaders are working against the party's interests as per the BJP's game plan. The BJP wants to recreate a breakup in SAD like it did in Maharashtra. "said Harsimrat Kaur Badal.

Sunil Jakhar said, "After parting ways with the BJP, SAD's dominance has been declining. This means there is some weakness in its party leadership."

Meanwhile, the SAD Working Committee has reposed confidence in the leadership of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal following a revolt by a faction of SAD leaders against the party chief demanding a change in leadership after the severe drubbing suffered by the party in the recent Lok Sabha elections. On microblogging site , and urges detractors not to play into the hands of Panth's enemies. The committee asks the president to lead efforts to expose conspiracies against the party, Panth and Punjab."

Earlier in the day, SAD Delhi unit president Paramjit Singh Sarna criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the BJP wanted to weaken regional parties through 'Operation Lotus'.

Speaking to the media, Sarna said, "I have given a written statement. The BJP can take any action they want against me. If they (the BJP) think that this is a false allegation, I call them for a debate and "This will prove that this is Operation Lotus. The BJP wants to weaken and destroy all regional parties. We will not allow that to happen." This comes after a section of senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders on Tuesday dissented against party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and passed a resolution demanding that he resign as party chief after the Akali Dal debacle in the Lok Sabha elections.

This is a major setback for Badal, who is grappling with internal dissent. The rift became evident on Tuesday when one section held a meeting to ask for Badal's resignation and the other confided in him.

Senior leaders including Parminder Singh Dhindsa and Bidi Jagir Kaur among others launched a revolt against party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal demanding a change in leadership. Reacting to the same, Shiromani Akali Dal MP and the Sukhbir Badal party chief's wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal said: "The entire Shiromani Akali Dal is united and supports Sukhbir Badal. Some of the BJP stooges are trying to bring down the SAD. They want to do the same as they did in Maharashtra ".

"SAD is united and they are going to fail. Of the 117 leaders, only 5 are against Sukhbir Badal, while 112 leaders are with the party and Sukhbir Badal," she said.

Rebel leader Parminder Singh Dhindsa held a meeting in Jalandhar on Tuesday in which workers and senior leaders openly expressed their views to revive the party. Dhindsa said the leaders and workers expressed concern over the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, in which out of the 13 parliamentary states of Punjab, the SAD got only one seat. The Bathinda Lok Sabha seat was retained by Badal's wife Harsimrat.

According to former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur, whenever they tried to discuss something with Badal, he would not listen to them.

"There was a discussion about what we have lost and gained in recent times. All SAD (Shiromani Akali Dal) supporters are worried about how to get out of the situation we are in. We have tried to talk to the party chief (Sukhbir Singh Badal) but he never listens to us. He doesn't try to rectify the deficiencies. So everyone thought that if SAD is to be strengthened, then we should all sit together and discuss about Punjab not accepting us. sorry for the losses suffered due to our silence," Kaur told ANI. Akali Dal leader Daljit Singh Cheema, addressing a press conference, said the SAD is analyzing and introspecting the comments.

Speaking to ANI, Cheema said, "We are reviewing the reasons behind our performance in the Lok Sabha elections. SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal had earlier stated that if the party wanted, he would resign from the post of president, but all the district presidents and electoral districts in charge "The SAD is a very strong and disciplined party and we hope that it will advance strongly."

SAD party central committee member Balwinder Singh Bhundal, who held another meeting to support Sukhbir Singh Badal, said 99 per cent of the members are with him. "The way workers attended today's meeting shows that 99 per cent of Akali party members Dal members support party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. Party chief does not change at the behest of a few people," Bhundal said. Bhundal further said that there is no question of forming any alliance with the BJP in future. "Neither now nor in the future will we make any compromise with the BJP. We will not take any action against those who are trying to show their solidarity Separate from the party. Our elders have built this party by making sacrifices. There is no need to separate those who are already talking about separating from the party or leaving. It is their own wish and freedom," the Akali Dal leader said. saying.
