Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): BJP national president JP Nadda along with TD general secretary Nara Lokesh and Janasena leader K Naga Babu held a roadshow here on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, the BJP chief said that the country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the common man, Dalit youth and farmers among others have been empowered.

He further said that 1.50 lakh panchayats in the country are being connected with optical fiber network. Two lakh villages were connected to the Common Service Centre.

He further said that four crore houses were built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and if BJP comes to power again, it will build three crore houses.

He expressed confidence that NDA candidates will win the upcoming elections in the state with an overwhelming majority.

Under the seat-sharing agreement between the NDA allies, TDP was allotted 14 assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, while the BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats. Janasena will contest elections on two Lok Sabha and 21 assembly seats.

Elections will be held on May 13 for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats of Andhra Pradesh.
