Mandla (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Mandla Lok Sabha seat Faggan Singh Kulaste on Tuesday expressed confidence of his party's victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

"Following the trends of the last decade, including the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the recent assembly elections, I am confident of the public's blessings. The BJP will definitely win in Mandla," Kulaste said.

He further said, 'Although Gondwana Republic Party had won by a huge margin in 2014, but this time too we have good chances of winning the elections.'

He said, "I took blessings of God, Mother Narmada and also went to Gurudwara. I will go to the party office and wait for the results.

Union Minister Faggan Singh is contesting for the third time from Kulaste Mandla seat while Congress's Omkar Singh Markram is trying his luck from his seat.

Mandla is one of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. This constituency is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.It became a reserved constituency in 1957. At present it covers the entire Dindori and Mandla districts and parts of Seoni and Narsinghpur districts.

Around 642 million people voted in the Lok Sabha elections held in seven phases over a six-week long period. Counting of votes through postal ballots began amid tight security. Counting of by-election results also began in 175 assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and 147 assembly constituencies and 25 assembly constituencies in Odisha.Tight security arrangements have been made to ensure smooth counting of votes of more than 8,000 candidates in this general election.

As the counting of votes begins for the Lok Sabha elections, which have seen the highest ever voter participation, the electoral fate of many leaders across the political spectrum will be decided.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are among the senior BJP leaders. Two surveys predict that the BJP will improve its tally from the 303 seats it won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
